During February 2025, Aiola contributed to the WordPress/WordPress-Coding-Standards repository by developing a new documentation artifact aimed at clarifying extraction guidelines for standard elements. Aiola authored DontExtractStandard.xml, an XML-based guide that outlines when not to extract standard elements, thereby reducing ambiguity for contributors and streamlining code review processes. The work focused on documentation and standards compliance, leveraging XML and version control to ensure alignment with existing WordPress Coding Standards. This contribution provided a reusable reference for future onboarding and decision-making, demonstrating depth in technical writing, cross-functional collaboration, and the creation of maintainable documentation to support ongoing development efforts.
