Aishek enhanced the caching documentation for the rubocop/rubocop repository, focusing on clarifying cache invalidation scenarios and detailing when to override the RuboCop::Cop::Base#external_dependency_checksum method in response to external dependency changes. Working primarily with AsciiDoc and leveraging strong documentation skills, Aishek consolidated and improved guidance to help developers understand and maintain RuboCop’s caching behavior. This work aimed to streamline onboarding, reduce misconfigurations, and support maintainers during dependency updates. While no bugs were fixed during this period, the depth of the documentation changes contributed to better maintainability and reduced support overhead for the project’s caching subsystem.
