Worked on enhancing the spack/spack-packages repository by implementing compatibility support for NWChem versions 7.3.0 and 7.3.1. This involved updating packaging definitions to broaden support for users building against the latest NWChem releases, ensuring smoother integration and improved CI readiness. The approach included aligning version metadata with Spack’s conventions and incorporating a style-check fix within the same commit to maintain repository standards. Leveraged Python for development, focusing on package management and software versioning to streamline future updates. The work addressed compatibility needs without introducing bug fixes, emphasizing maintainability and adherence to project guidelines throughout the process.
