In January 2025, AJ Moore focused on stabilizing the EFS lab environment within the aws-samples/eks-workshop-v2 repository by addressing a critical permissions issue. He delivered a targeted fix to the IDE role’s AWS IAM policy, enabling the creation and deletion of Elastic Network Interfaces (ENIs) required for proper EFS lab operation. Working primarily with YAML and leveraging AWS IAM best practices, AJ ensured the lab environment maintained a secure, least-privilege posture. This work improved lab reliability and reduced setup failures for participants. The scope was narrow but addressed a foundational infrastructure need, demonstrating careful attention to security and operational detail.
