Worked on the aws-samples/eks-workshop-v2 repository to enhance the stability of the EFS lab environment by addressing a critical permissions issue. Focused on AWS IAM and yaml, the developer fixed missing permissions for the IDE role, enabling the creation and deletion of Elastic Network Interfaces (ENIs) required for proper EFS lab operation. This change improved the reliability of lab setups and reduced failure rates for participants by ensuring secure, least-privilege access to AWS resources. The work demonstrated a careful approach to IAM configuration and Git-based workflows, emphasizing security and operational efficiency without introducing new features during the period.
