Worked on enhancing the WASM Fetch functionality for the supabase/wrappers repository, focusing on improving download reliability, caching, and data integrity. Refactored the foreign data wrapper’s download and byte handling logic to support new download paths, including Warg registries and direct URLs, which streamlined component delivery and reduced fetch failures. Strengthened checksum verification and caching mechanisms to ensure robust integrity checks and faster startup performance. Utilized Rust and WASM, applying skills in cryptography, file handling, and networking to address reliability and performance challenges. The work resulted in a more stable and efficient system for fetching and managing WASM components.
