Akash Bhardwaj developed public documentation and a new GET /messages/status endpoint for the WhatsApp outbound metrics API in the intercom/Intercom-OpenAPI repository. Focusing on API documentation and OpenAPI Specification, Akash designed the endpoint to support pagination, detailed event data, and ruleset-based filtering, while also defining error response codes and a clear response schema. This work strengthened API contracts and improved guidance for clients integrating with Intercom, enabling easier programmatic monitoring of message statuses. The project was implemented using YAML and REST API design principles, reflecting a focused, well-scoped contribution that enhanced external integration capabilities without addressing bug fixes.
