Developed an asset optimization feature for the web-infra-dev/rsdoctor repository, focusing on enhancing visibility into potential storage and bandwidth savings through gzip compression analysis. Implemented a new gzipSize property within AssetInstance, enabling the system to compute and report the compressed size of assets when gzip support is active. This addition allows teams to make informed, data-driven decisions about asset management and optimization strategies. The work leveraged JavaScript and TypeScript, applying skills in build tools, code analysis, and performance optimization to lay the foundation for more efficient resource usage and improved cost management in web infrastructure projects.
