Developed and integrated Quasar mock device support for the tenstorrent/tt-umd repository, enabling API testing workflows without reliance on the Zebu emulator. This work involved creating a fictional YAML cluster descriptor and updating C++ code to support mock device loading and registration as a legal board type. By connecting the mock device pathway with existing tt-metal API tests, the changes improved testability and allowed for faster, hardware-independent QA cycles. The approach leveraged C++ programming and YAML configuration skills to enhance the codebase, streamline end-to-end testing, and provide clearer coverage, all within a focused one-month development period.
