Developed the MCC Command Management API for the UWOrbital/OBC-firmware repository, focusing on backend functionality to manage command entries through POST and DELETE endpoints. Leveraging Python and FastAPI, the implementation included robust input validation and lifecycle management to reduce manual intervention and prevent data inconsistencies. Comprehensive automated tests were created to verify both standard and edge case behaviors, such as handling duplicate entries and invalid UUIDs, using custom Python scripts to address PyTest limitations. This work enhanced the reliability of command management within the system and demonstrated a collaborative approach to cross-team development and thorough backend testing practices.
