During November 2024, Akotro contributed to the srid/nixpkgs repository by delivering initial packaging for it-tools, focusing on build derivation, dependency specification, and metadata completeness. Using Nix and leveraging skills in configuration management and package management, Akotro ensured the package aligned with nixpkgs standards for reproducibility and maintainability. The work included defining build and install phases, as well as updating contributor metadata to clarify ongoing ownership. Although no bugs were fixed during this period, the contributions improved package discoverability and governance, laying a foundation for future updates and supporting the broader DevOps workflow within the nixpkgs ecosystem.
