Worked on the SAP/jenkins-library repository to enhance the reliability of WhitesourceScan by introducing build tool descriptor validation. Developed a targeted feature in Go that checks the naming and extension of buildDescriptorFile based on the selected buildTool, aiming to prevent misconfigurations and reduce failed scans in CI pipelines. Consolidated validation logic within the existing workflow, aligning with Whitesource integration standards and improving maintainability. Focused on backend development and CI/CD practices, the work codified validation rules to support consistent behavior and easier onboarding for the team. No bugs were fixed during this period, with efforts concentrated on robust feature delivery.
