Akshay Atam developed a new ANSI Tsangan keymap for the Ducky One2 Mini keyboard in the qmk/qmk_firmware repository, focusing on enhancing user customization through three distinct layers: QWERTY, Function, and Colour. Working in C and leveraging embedded systems expertise, Akshay implemented a dedicated keymap C file and updated keyboard configuration files to support expanded layer functionality. This work addressed a community feature request, improving device configurability and upgradability for a widely used keyboard model. The project demonstrated proficiency in keyboard firmware development, collaborative Git-based workflows, and practical application of firmware architecture principles within the open-source QMK ecosystem.
