Worked on the apache/doris repository to deliver DNS readiness checks and enhance backend registration for dual-stack Kubernetes environments, focusing on improving startup reliability and observability for disaggregated FE/BE deployments. Used bash scripting and DevOps practices to implement readiness gates for FQDN mode, ensuring Doris pods start only when DNS is properly configured. Enhanced backend registration logic to support both IPv4 and IPv6, adding IP-first fallback and robust error handling. Improved system observability by logging registration attempts and failures, enabling faster incident response. Validated workflows with shell-level checks to prevent regressions, emphasizing reliability and maintainability in Kubernetes-based deployments.
