During December 2024, Alal contributed to the bkeepers/vueuse repository by delivering two composable enhancements focused on UI accuracy and accessibility. Leveraging TypeScript and Vue.js, Alal extended the useWindowSize composable to utilize the visualViewport API, enabling precise mobile window size detection and dynamic updates through resize listeners. Additionally, Alal developed a new usePreferredReducedTransparency composable that detects OS and browser-level reduced transparency preferences, exposing this state reactively for improved accessibility. The work emphasized code quality and maintainability, resulting in features that enhance cross-device layout consistency and developer experience, while demonstrating a strong command of Browser APIs and frontend development practices.
