Developed and integrated an automated release labeling workflow for the infinispan/protostream repository, focusing on streamlining the continuous integration process. Leveraging GitHub Actions and YAML, the solution automatically labels issues with the current release when pull requests are closed, reducing manual intervention and improving release traceability. The workflow also introduced enhanced handling for backports and refined permissions for issue management, aligning with the Infinispan release process. Updates incorporated feedback from collaborators and mirrored improvements from related operator repositories, resulting in tighter integration with operator-based release workflows. The work emphasized automation and DevOps best practices to optimize CI pipeline efficiency.
