Worked on the derailed/k9s repository to deliver a new UI customization feature focused on menu foreground style configuration. Developed enhancements that allow users to specify foreground styles for menu items through skins and configuration files, utilizing Go for backend logic and YAML for configuration management. Updated internal styling logic in the codebase to support these new options, ensuring that visual customization is both flexible and maintainable. Improved documentation in Markdown to guide users on leveraging the new feature. This work addressed accessibility and branding needs, providing a more adaptable user interface without introducing friction to the existing user experience.
