Worked on the th-ch/youtube-music repository to enhance multilingual accessibility by implementing Italian UI localization and introducing a feature for converting Chinese characters between Simplified and Traditional forms. Leveraged front end development skills and i18n best practices, utilizing JSON for managing translation strings and integrating with the Weblate platform to streamline the localization workflow. Achieved 99.7% completion for Italian translations, ensuring near-complete coverage for Italian-speaking users. Documented the translation process to support ongoing updates and faster international releases. The work focused on expanding the application's reach and improving usability for diverse audiences, laying a foundation for future localization efforts.
