Aleh M. developed a governance-focused feature for the localstack/moto repository, enabling the Resource Groups Tagging API to filter ECS Task Definitions by tags. Using Python and leveraging skills in API development and AWS resource management, Aleh designed the backend to iterate through ECS task definitions, apply tag-based filters, and return relevant results. The implementation included comprehensive testing to verify accurate retrieval, which improved resource visibility and supported policy enforcement and automation. No major bugs were reported during this period, and the added test coverage reduced regression risk, contributing to more robust CI workflows and enhanced resource discovery for ECS environments.
