Worked on the ButterWalk repository to enhance CI/CD reliability and maintainability by focusing on security automation and codebase hygiene. Integrated CodeQL security scanning directly into the continuous integration pipeline using YAML, replacing a custom workflow with GitHub Actions’ platform-default scanning. This transition improved security visibility and reduced the maintenance burden associated with bespoke scripts. Additionally, performed code cleanup by removing the unused client/types directory, simplifying TypeScript typings and streamlining the codebase. No major bugs were addressed during this period, but the work delivered value by enabling safer, faster, and cleaner release cycles through improved automation and code organization.
