Developed and delivered a Fire Animation Control Setting for the duckduckgo/privacy-configuration repository, enabling users to toggle the fire animation according to their performance needs or visual preferences. The feature was implemented in JavaScript with a focus on configuration management and seamless integration into the existing settings framework, requiring minimal changes to maintain UX consistency. This addition allows for improved customization and potential performance optimization, particularly on lower-end devices. Throughout the development process, clean version-control practices were maintained, and no major bugs were reported, resulting in a maintainable and user-focused enhancement that aligns with both performance and user experience goals.
