Worked on the tree-sitter/tree-sitter repository to address a build system issue affecting submodule integrations. Focused on improving the reliability of Zig-based build scripts, the developer resolved a bug where the build process incorrectly used the current working directory instead of the build root to locate source files. By updating the build logic to reference the build root, they ensured that downstream projects using tree-sitter as a submodule could consistently resolve paths, preventing build failures. This work demonstrated attention to cross-environment compatibility and a solid understanding of build systems and the Zig programming language, contributing to more robust project integrations.
