He addressed a critical bug in OCSP request URL encoding by implementing a new function to base64-encode and URL-encode DER-encoded OCSP requests, ensuring robust handling of certificate status checks. Alex reinforced this fix with comprehensive unit tests to verify encoding and decoding logic, reducing the risk of future regressions.
