Worked on the civicrm-core repository to enhance the Contribution Dashboard by addressing a bug in the fiscal year selection dropdown. Focused on improving the accuracy and clarity of year-based reporting, the work involved updating the logic for retrieving and displaying fiscal years so that the dropdown now starts from January and always includes the current year with correct formatting. This adjustment reduces user confusion and ensures contributors can select the appropriate reporting period. The solution was implemented using PHP and back end development skills, emphasizing data integrity and a smoother end-user experience in the dashboard’s core metrics presentation.
