Ofetios worked on the acemod/ACE3 repository, focusing on maintaining and improving the ACE3 explosives module. During this period, they delivered a targeted refactor that enhanced code readability by adopting a more concise array indexing approach for configuration retrieval, ensuring no changes to the module’s core functionality. This work, implemented using SQF and leveraging skills in modding and scripting, reduced technical debt and simplified the internal logic, making future updates and contributor onboarding more straightforward. Although no explicit bugs were fixed, the refactor maintained backward compatibility and contributed to the long-term sustainability and maintainability of the codebase.
