Worked on the acemod/ACE3 repository, focusing on maintaining and improving the ACE3 explosives module through a targeted readability refactor. Applied scripting and modding skills in SQF to simplify internal logic by adopting a concise array indexing approach for configuration retrieval, ensuring no changes to the module’s core functionality. This safe refactor maintained backward compatibility while reducing technical debt, making the codebase more accessible for future contributors. Although no explicit bugs were fixed during this period, the work enhanced code quality and sustainability, laying the groundwork for faster future iterations and easier onboarding for new developers working with the module.
