Worked on the getsentry/sentry repository to implement Code Ownership Governance and CI Validation Improvements, focusing on aligning code ownership with current product areas such as data-browsing and dashboards. Reorganized the CODEOWNERS file to reflect updated responsibilities and enhanced the continuous integration process by updating file filters, ensuring that any changes to CODEOWNERS automatically triggered backend tests. This approach, using Python and YAML within a DevOps and test automation context, reduced deployment risks by preventing API ownership validation failures. The work improved governance, increased CI reliability, and provided clearer ownership boundaries, resulting in safer pull request workflows and stronger compliance for the repository.
