Worked on enhancing S3 integration testing and local development workflows within the signalapp/Signal-Server repository. Developed a static factory method for the S3ObjectMonitor class, enabling custom S3 endpoint configuration to support more effective local testing and improved test isolation. This approach leveraged the factory design pattern in Java to decouple endpoint configuration from production logic, increasing both testability and maintainability. By allowing endpoint injection, the changes reduced setup time for developers and QA, streamlining backend development processes. The work demonstrated proficiency in Java, AWS S3, and backend engineering, focusing on safer deployment cycles and accelerated development for S3 components.
