During November 2024, Algr refactored the OpenAPI schema for the getlago/lago-openapi repository, focusing on improving clarity and maintainability. By removing redundant allOf constructs and directly referencing reusable components, Algr streamlined the API definitions, reducing complexity and the risk of misconfigurations. This approach made the schema easier to evolve and contributed to a more robust API contract. Working primarily with yaml and leveraging expertise in API Design and the OpenAPI Specification, Algr’s disciplined changes enhanced the onboarding experience for contributors and enabled faster iteration on API definitions, reflecting a thoughtful and maintainable approach to schema architecture and version control.
