During April 2025, Mazhar developed an End-of-Life (EOL) Dependency Detection feature for the boostsecurityio/dev-registry repository. He focused on enhancing security governance by introducing a registry rule that automatically identifies and flags unmaintained or end-of-life packages, helping teams address security risks early in the deployment pipeline. Using YAML and leveraging DevOps and security scanning expertise, Mazhar ensured the feature provided detailed descriptions and migration recommendations for deprecated dependencies. The implementation integrated seamlessly with existing workflows, minimizing regression risk. While the work was limited to a single feature over one month, it addressed a critical aspect of policy compliance and dependency management.
