April 2025: Delivered end-to-end gazetteer-backed text analysis and geographic visualization for Al Jazeera articles in OpenITI/FASDH25. Implemented new Python scripts for pattern-based text analysis and gazetteer-driven place-name counting, refactored TSV exports for configurable columns/paths, loaded gazetteer data with pandas, and visualized coordinates on an interactive map with Plotly Express. This work strengthens geopolitical analytics capabilities and provides a scalable data pipeline for location-aware research across corpora.
