During March 2026, Eualmeida developed and integrated the Rewrite Theme Extension as a submodule within the zed-industries/extensions repository. This work enabled versioned extension loading directly from the zed environment, streamlining theming workflows and ensuring consistent deployment across environments. Eualmeida managed submodule configuration using Git and TOML, pinning the external theme dependency to a specific commit for reliable runtime behavior. The approach focused on extension development and version control, addressing the need for predictable theming and simplified updates. While the scope was limited to a single feature, the implementation demonstrated careful attention to dependency management and reproducible extension loading processes.
