During January 2025, Aln8un focused on upgrading the SQLite library within the eProsima/Fast-DDS repository, moving from version 3.36.0 to 3.47.2. This work involved careful dependency management and software maintenance using C++ and C, ensuring compatibility with existing components through targeted regression testing. By integrating the latest SQLite release, Aln8un addressed security vulnerabilities and enabled access to new database features, improving both reliability and maintainability. The upgrade required a detailed understanding of database management and the internal API changes introduced in the new version, reflecting a methodical approach to enhancing the project’s technical foundation and long-term stability.
