During May 2025, Jerry contributed to the VEXU_GHOST/VEXU_GHOST repository by enhancing and integrating color sensor detection for a ROS-based tank robot. He improved color detection accuracy and data coherence by tuning sensor thresholds, updating YAML-based launch configurations, and aligning ROS topic subscriptions within the robot’s plugin. Working primarily in C++ and Python, Jerry focused on configuration management and embedded systems to ensure reliable color data flow throughout the ROS stack. This work enabled more accurate color-based decision-making and streamlined testing cycles, reflecting a focused and technically sound approach to scalable perception improvements within robotics applications.
