During July 2025, Altimopsusvs focused on refactoring efforts within the rdkcentral/firebolt-certification-app repository, targeting the cleanup and deprecation of legacy test data handling utilities in Utils.js. Working primarily with JavaScript and Node.js, they removed the testDataHandler and overrideParamsFromTestData functions, ensuring no changes to runtime behavior while aligning export order for improved code consistency. This work enhanced maintainability and set the stage for safer future refactors by documenting a clear deprecation path. Altimopsusvs also resolved two merge conflicts as part of the process, demonstrating attention to codebase hygiene and laying groundwork for streamlined test data management in upcoming development cycles.
