
During January 2025, Altmann contributed to the VATGER-Nav/loa repository by delivering two core features focused on air traffic control data management. He reorganized and restructured configuration files for the EDWW FIR, improving maintainability and enabling more efficient future updates. Using TOML and configuration management skills, he updated airspace routing and sector agreements for AIRAC 2501, adding new destination airports and refining flight level assignments across multiple airfields and sectors. This work enhanced data organization and integrity, reduced configuration risk, and ensured compliance with regulatory cycles, demonstrating depth in data organization and cross-team collaboration within the aviation domain.
