In August 2025, Alus20x developed a URL canonicalization feature for the fastapi/fastapi repository, focusing on the TrustedHostMiddleware component. By introducing the www_redirect parameter, Alus20x enabled automatic redirection of non-www allowed hosts to their www counterparts, addressing issues of duplicate content and improving SEO as well as user experience. The implementation was carried out using Python and Markdown, with careful attention to documentation to ensure clarity for production deployment. The work demonstrated a focused approach, delivering a single, well-integrated feature and updating related documentation, but did not involve bug fixes or broader architectural changes during the period.
