Developed a configurable JWT issuer for the OIDC discovery provider in the spiffe/spire repository, enabling issuer URL customization to improve integration flexibility with external identity providers. This work involved updating configuration parsing and refining handler logic to support dynamic issuer management, addressing the need for precise control in OIDC configurations. Implemented comprehensive cross-platform tests for both POSIX and Windows environments to ensure robust validation of the new configuration flow. Leveraged Go for backend development and configuration management, with Markdown used for documentation. The changes enhanced deployment flexibility, streamlined customer onboarding with external IdPs, and strengthened the security posture of the system.
