Azarei contributed to the microsoft/agent-framework repository by standardizing the naming of OpenAI API key environment variables across both .NET and Python sample projects. This work focused on aligning environment variable names with OpenAI’s official conventions, reducing the risk of misconfiguration and streamlining the onboarding process for developers. Using skills in API integration, cross-platform development, and environment configuration, Azarei implemented these changes in a single, consolidated commit. The update improved code hygiene and developer experience by ensuring consistency and reliability in sample usage. The scope of work was focused but addressed a common pain point in multi-language API integration scenarios.
