Worked on modernizing the Upcoming Event component in the hackforla/VRMS repository by replacing standard HTML elements with Material-UI components, resulting in a more consistent and visually integrated user interface. Focused on front end development using React and JavaScript, the updates included styling enhancements such as a 12pt left margin for event dates and locations to improve readability and layout balance. Additionally, annotated unused abstractions in Form.jsx with clear comments to clarify their status, supporting easier onboarding and safer future refactoring. The work emphasized maintainability and alignment with the design system, delivering two features over the course of one month.
