
Worked on the UBCSailbot/sailbot_workspace repository to enhance robotics navigation and visualization tools over a three-month period. Developed an OMPL pathfinding visualizer in Python, adding state-space rendering and a shared buffer utility to improve debugging and operator awareness. Introduced an interactive wind parameter tuning UI using Dash, enabling real-time wind scenario adjustments and YAML-based configuration for reproducible simulations. Improved reliability by refactoring the wind cost function, expanding test coverage, and standardizing documentation. Delivered a CSV-based waypoint reader node for dynamic path integration in ROS, focusing on maintainability, robust testing, and clear data flow throughout the navigation and visualization stack.
