Worked on the scverse/anndata repository to implement Array-API compatibility, enabling seamless interoperability with array backends such as JAX and CuPy. Focused on updating core data access patterns, including indexing and subsetting logic, to support array-api structures and ensure compatibility with existing workflows. Expanded the test suite to validate the new functionality across multiple backends, laying a foundation for broader ecosystem integration and improved workflow flexibility. Utilized Python, data analysis, and data structures expertise to deliver a robust feature that enhances AnnData’s extensibility. The work emphasized maintainability and future-proofing by establishing a comprehensive testing baseline for ongoing development.
