Worked on the clangenb/polkadot-sdk repository to enhance the stability and reliability of the Wasm Builder patching workflow. Focused on addressing a bug where patching the runtime blob could overwrite existing crates-io patches, the solution merged new patches with those already present in the workspace TOML, thereby preserving build configuration integrity. This approach protected critical patch data and ensured consistent, reproducible builds for downstream consumers. The work involved deep familiarity with Rust, Cargo, and build systems, emphasizing careful manipulation of configuration files to prevent data loss and maintain robust patch management throughout the build process for the radium crate.
