Worked on the magento/ece-tools repository to enhance OpenSearch integration by delivering functional test suite improvements and addressing test infrastructure bugs. Focused on enabling compatibility with OpenSearch v3, the work involved updating validators, refactoring test setups for clarity, and improving maintainability by renaming data provider usage and removing unused variables. Addressed a bug in the test infrastructure by correcting StepException handling and cleaning up configuration files, which increased test robustness. Utilized PHP and Codeception for backend development and testing, resulting in more reliable CI processes, reduced flaky tests, and a smoother upgrade path for OpenSearch within the ece-tools project.
