In May 2025, Amar Alim developed and integrated a modern Glass UI theme for core components in the microsoft/fluentui-apple repository, focusing on BottomSheetController and TabBarItemView. Using Swift and advanced theming techniques, Amar consolidated theming tokens and unified style parameter handling to support dynamic appearances and multiple states, such as disabled or unselected. The implementation introduced blur-backed surfaces and dynamic color tokens, enhancing visual consistency and perceived depth across the UI. This work established a scalable theming foundation for future Fluent UI Apple components, improving both developer efficiency and user experience while reducing long-term maintenance complexity in iOS component development.
