Worked on improving gem metadata management within the ruby/rake repository, focusing on aligning the rake.gemspec file with standard conventions for RubyGems. Addressed a bug by updating the source_code_uri to reference the gem’s public repository URL, rather than a release-specific link, thereby enhancing discoverability and consistency with bundle gem templates. Utilized expertise in Ruby and Gemspec Management to ensure metadata correctness, which supports better integration with downstream tools and package consumers. The work demonstrated attention to detail in maintaining open source standards, though the scope was limited to a single bug fix without the addition of new features during the period.
