During November 2024, Ambake contributed to the MicrosoftEdge/MSEdgeExplainers repository by enhancing the Web Install Flow, focusing on both user experience and security. Ambake implemented a zero-parameter web installation process, removing the previous requirement for a single ID parameter, and enforced manifest validation by requiring an 'id' field in the application manifest. This work, rooted in API design and web development, improved installation reliability and reduced friction for users. The changes were delivered in Markdown and integrated directly with the repository’s workflow. Ambake’s contributions addressed installation integrity, though the scope was limited to feature delivery without bug fixes this period.
