Developed a streamable HTTP transport mode for the grafana/mcp-grafana server, focusing on expanding data streaming capabilities for dashboard applications. The work involved implementing server-side initialization and endpoint path parsing in Go, as well as automating build and deployment processes using Makefile. Docker was leveraged for consistent server configuration and deployment environments. Comprehensive documentation updates in Markdown were provided to support developer onboarding and clarify usage of the new transport mode. This feature improved performance and scalability for data delivery, while also enhancing deployment ergonomics and laying the foundation for future low-latency streaming solutions within the MCP-Grafana ecosystem.
