During April 2026, Amekagura focused on improving cross-platform build stability for the oxcaml/oxcaml repository, addressing a persistent macOS compilation issue. By refining the Makefile.config’s CPP extraction logic using shell scripting and Makefile expertise, Amekagura ensured that values containing '=' were correctly parsed, preventing malformed compiler arguments and reducing build failures. This solution was extended to related scripts, such as utils/dune and runtime/gen_primsc.sh, to maintain consistency and reliability across the build system. The work demonstrated a strong grasp of build system configuration and macOS development, resulting in more robust tooling and decreased developer debugging time for the project.
