Developed and delivered Azure Data Explorer (Kusto) integration for the Azure/azure-mcp repository, enabling comprehensive data exploration and querying workflows within the Azure MCP Server. The work focused on backend development using C# and the Azure SDK, implementing Kusto-specific services and commands to support listing clusters, databases, tables, and schemas, as well as executing KQL queries. Careful attention was given to dependency management, command registration, and argument definition to ensure a stable and extensible integration. This feature reduced data-access friction for MCP users, supporting faster data discovery and ad-hoc querying while aligning with the platform’s data-driven decision-making goals.
