Amit integrated Azure Data Explorer (Kusto) into the Azure/azure-mcp repository, delivering end-to-end data exploration and querying capabilities for MCP users. Using C# and the Azure SDK, Amit designed and implemented backend services that support listing clusters, databases, and tables, retrieving schemas, sampling data, and executing KQL queries. The work involved careful dependency management, command registration, and argument definition to ensure extensibility and production readiness. By enabling seamless Kusto operations through the MCP Server’s CLI, Amit reduced data-access friction and empowered users to make data-driven decisions, demonstrating depth in API integration and backend development within a complex cloud platform.
